18th Annual Wyland Foundation Celebration

The Wyland Foundation invites you to spend an evening with Wyland and friends to benefit Wyland Foundation programs for children's watershed and marine wildlife education. The event will be held from 6-9 pm, Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point and feature a special presentation from Wyland and Dr. Sylvia Earle, entitled, "Oceans: The Next Ten Years." FOCUS in Oregon

In celebration of the UN International Year of Forests and the 100 year anniversary of Oregon Department of Forestry, Wyland and the Wyland Foundation team will travel to Oregon for a day of FOCUS! In conjunction with the US Forest Service, Oregon State University Forestry and Natural Resource Extension Program, Oregon Forest Resources Institute, National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and other great Oregon partners, this unique FOCUS: Forests, Ocean, Climate, and Us event will feature a mural painting with Wyland at the Oregon State Fair and many more environmental awareness activities.  

MLC at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Sculpture Unveiling

September 2 | West Covina, CA

Darlene Wyland and the Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center will be present for the unveiling of the Wyland "Ancient Voyage" sculpture at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in West Covina. Local  city and county officals, newspapers, children from area schools, as well as members of the Ocean Conservation Association, Heal the Bay and Power Squadron will all join in this community event to help promote the awareness for healthy and cleaner oceans.

Mural Painting at Camp Pendleton

The Wyland Foundation with local artist Annie VanEngelen will be painting with over 300 marines and their families at the Acts of Appreciation Event , to honor and give thanks for all that they do for our country.

Mural Painting at the Speech and Fun Camp

The Wyland Foundation with local Artist Annie VanEngelen will be painting with over 200 kids at the Speech and Fun Camp, a camp filled wtih summer fun activities for children with autism.

Wyland Ohana Day at Sea Life Park

Join the US Forest Service, NOAA, Hawaii Environmental Education Alliance, Wyland Foundation and renowned ocean artist Wyland at Sea Life Park to celebrate Hawaii’s precious water resources from the forests to the sea – and Wyland’s birthday! We invite you and your family to celebrate Wyland Ohana Day, a day filled with art and science activities to encourage kids to explore their connection to the environment in creative and conscientious ways, including a chance for kids to paint a collaborative mural with Wyland.  Plus! Don’t miss a special live musical performance by Henry Kapono.

Wyland Ohana Day at Sea Life Park is part of the nationwide FOCUS (Forests, Oceans, Climate – and US) project that brings together the U.S. Forest Service, NOAA, and numerous non-profits to teach young people about the future of our water supplies, climate, and global health.

Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center at San Diego County Fair

June 21 - July 4, 2011 | San Diego County Fair | 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. | Del Mar, CA 92014

Experience the 40-person theater with special effects, a running river, computer model simulations of lake regions, video microscopes and an urban watershed model with artificial rain in the Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center at the San Diego County Fair. Enjoy engaging, playing and experiencing hands-on activities while learning about river management, estuaries, ocean runoff, environmental conservation and more.

Paint a Mural with Wyland at Carmel's Outdoor Forest Theater

July 2, 2011 | 12 – 2pm | Outdoor Forest Theater | Carmel, CA

Wyland will be painting on 5′X10′ canvasses with Carmel's youthful community in partnership with the Forest Guild Theater.  This event is free to the public so bring your painting imaginations.  No tickets required.
