20th Annual Celebration & Fundraiser

The Wyland Foundation will celebrate 20 years of sharing the art of conservation with our 20th Annual Celebration & Fundraiser at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, CA. Enjoy a night of great food, drinks, live musical performances, silent and live auctions, special guests and a presentation by scientist and TED conference speaker, Dr. Greg Stone.

Clean Water Conservation Tour - Newport News, VA

A Beach Night of Ocean Conservation and Film

In conjunction with Wyland's appearances in Carmel on Aug 23 and 24, The Wyland Foundation, Monterey Chapter of Surfrider and the Forest Theater will present a free outdoor beach event titled, " A Beach Night of Ocean Conservation and Film" at Carmel Beach in Carmel at Sunset (around 8pm) on Thursday, Aug 22.

The night features a screening of Wyland's award-winning movie, "Blues Planet: Sounds" with soundtrack by Taj Mahal, Rod Piazza, Steve Turre and others, a talk by Oceana, the largest international organization devoted to ocean conservation and mix of film highlights from Monterey's AMP community television station's popular, "Your Sanctuary" series.

This event will be held at the end of the Ocean Ave in Carmel. Come for the sunset and bring lawn chairs or a blanket and warm clothes. A charity raffle benefiting Surfrider, Forest Theater and the Wyland Foundation will take place at the event with Wyland art and 2 Monterey Bay eco tours by Fast Raft.

Sawdust Art Festival “Green” Day

Sawdust “Green Day” will be providing an interactive and educational “environment” themed day for its visitors. The Sawdust Art Festival presents its 2nd Annual Green Day with Sawdust artists, community members and local organizations. All will be are coming together to share simple ways of becoming “greener” and more environmentally aware in our everyday lives. (mural painting event)
